Free Shipping

We offer free shipping on most orders over $149.99 before taxes and under 40 lbs. If your order qualifies, it will be shipped by courier at no cost to you. Orders under $149.99 ship at affordable rates shown at checkout prior to payment.

Restrictions:

• Free shipping does not apply to items over 40 lbs., oversized items, or items requiring a freight carrier.
• Certain items may be excluded from free shipping due to size, shape, or highly competitive pricing. These products may display a fixed freight rate on our site.
• Remote destinations may be excluded if shipping costs are unreasonably high.
• Orders picked up in store instead of shipped do not receive any additional discount.

If an order requires additional freight charges, you will be contacted before it ships. You may choose to accept the charges or cancel the order at that time.

P.O. Boxes & Delivery Locations

• We are only able to ship small orders to PO Boxes. If at all possible your order will be shipped to a physical address.
• Orders are generally shipped to the billing address associated with the payment method used at checkout.

Freight Shipments

Large and heavy items are shipped by freight carrier due to their size, weight, or handling requirements. These items are typically shipped on a skid or require specialized equipment for safe transport.

Most machinery orders qualify for a flat-rate freight program (typically $199) to most locations across Canada. This rate includes liftgate service where required and available, allowing the carrier to safely lower the shipment to ground level at delivery. In rare cases where additional charges apply (such as remote locations or special access requirements), we will contact you for approval before proceeding.

Freight delivery is curbside or dock delivery. This means the carrier will deliver the item to the ground outside your home or business, but will not move it inside or place it in your shop or workspace.

We can ship freight items to both residential and commercial addresses, including rural locations across Canada.

Freight Delivery FAQ

What is a freight shipment?
Freight shipments are large or heavy items that cannot be shipped by standard courier. These products require palletized (skidded) shipping or special handling due to their size or weight.

Does the $199 flat-rate include liftgate service?
Yes. Liftgate service is included where required and available, so the driver can lower the shipment from the truck to ground level.

What does curbside delivery mean?
Curbside delivery means the item is delivered to the ground outside your location. The driver is not responsible for bringing the item inside or setting it up.

Do you ship to residential addresses?
Yes, we ship freight items to residential, commercial, and rural addresses across Canada.

Are there extra charges for rural or remote areas?
Most locations are covered by our flat-rate program. If additional charges apply for remote areas or special delivery requirements, we will contact you before shipping.

Address Accuracy

Please provide a complete and accurate street address with postal code. Federated Tool is not responsible for:

• Delayed, lost, or misdirected shipments due to inaccurate addresses.
• Additional charges caused by incomplete or incorrect addresses.

We will attempt to contact you if there is an issue, but it is your responsibility to provide correct information.

Shipping Delays

We ship using trusted third-party carriers such as UPS and Purolator, but once a shipment leaves our facility, delivery times are outside of our control.

• We provide tracking information whenever possible.
• We are not liable for courier delays and cannot guarantee specific delivery dates.

Shipping Damage & Claims

• Inspect all packages on delivery. Do not accept shipments that are visibly opened or damaged.
• For freight shipments, inspect the contents before signing. Mark the bill of lading as “DAMAGED” if applicable.
• All damage or shortage claims must be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery at info@federatedtool.com.
